Selection Process

Students seeking admission into Grades 7-9/Forms 1-4 at secondary level are required to take an entrance assessment. Admission into the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme is based on the student’s current grades and school reports, performance in the entrance assessment and previous board/public examinations, if completed.

Where students are equal in merit and there are limited places available, precedence will be given first to siblings of students already attending any of the Aga Khan schools and then to siblings of graduates of the Aga Khan Schools.

Time of Admission

Ordinarily, the time of admissions is before the beginning of the school year for the grade level admission is being sought. Students will be admitted mid-year when places are available.

Applications will generally not be accepted for admission into Grade 10 or Form 4 and Grade 12. Exceptions can be made if the student is coming directly from overseas.

Procedure

Announcements are made in the local press and our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn) inviting applications for admission. Information is given about the closing dates for submitting application forms and the dates and times of the entrance assessment.

Before sitting for an entrance assessment, a completed application form must be submitted together with other required documents.

Where there are more eligible applicants than places for a particular grade level, admission will be on a first-come basis.

Parents of prospective students who are not able to take the entrance assessment on the announced date should contact the school. The school will arrange an alternative date if there are still places available in the required grade level.

Visits to the School

Parents and prospective students are welcome to make an appointment to meet the head of school and tour the school.

Office hours are 7:15 am to 4:00 pm.
