The Aga Khan Schools in India

The Aga Khan Education Service (AKES), India is proud to continue building on a century of leadership in education development.

Since the establishment of one of the first Aga Khan schools in Mundra in 1905, AKES, India has worked towards enriching the lives of students through quality education services and a pluralist philosophy. Today, AKES, India manages eight schools, one residential hostel and 19 Aga Khan PreSchools in the states of Gujarat, Maharashtra and Telangana, catering to students from Nursery to Grade 12 across urban and rural regions.

AKES, India’s schools offer the State as well as the National Curriculum syllabus. The schools also encourage STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) subjects, offering subjects and co-curricular activities including robotics, abacus, Vedic Mathematics, painting, music and dance. Emphasis is placed on holistic child development through a balanced approach towards curricular and co-curricular activities.
